Economic governance is an area of EU law where the need for reform is clear. The Conference on the Future of Europe is a direct democracy experiment, a forum for discussion about EU reform. It would be a missed opportunity not to avail of the Conference on the Future of Europe to trigger a debate on what needs to be done for an EU economy that truly works for people.
